Tousey Wine

Had such a lovely time with Kimberly and Ben, the owners of a wonderful new winery and tasting room right here in the upper Hudson River Valley, Tousey Wines.

The Vineyard itself, where Tousey grows it’s delicious grapes, is a drop dead gorgeous place, which, by the way, you can rent as a wonderful place to have a wedding, large or small, or any other party where you would love a drop dead fabulous hudson river backdrop.The grape vines will be in full leaf very soon and the honey flowing ( Ray Tousey bottles this aromatic local delight)

In preparation for the new website that will be launched soon, and to invite folks to come and savor the delicious wines, honey, soaps, jams , I spent some time taking pictures of the two of them.

In addition to the grape products there is also a art gallery where wine is paired with stunning art work created right here in Hudson Valley New York.

Albums…the lasting impression

In this day of “shoot and burn” wedding photographers, I still love to see the wedding images through to the final product, the heirloom wedding album. A book of images that will transcend the bunch of images you put together from a dvd, a book that completely captures your wedding in a way that brings back memories, creates new memories of moments you may not have noticed and provides a history for generations to come.

Our ancestors left us beautiful portraits in black and white. I am still inspired looking at those sepia images, some beginning to fade.

The album is the final story of you, your romance, your families as they were on this amazing day. The album is your dream, the gateway to your future life together.

Boudoir{lisa} hudson River Photography

Lisa has been my favorite muse. First the engagement shoot at a nearby field …magic. Then a gift for her sweetheart of a boudoir book.Highly recommend doing this for you and your partner.( It is a wonderful way to celebrate the You in you, to get to see that yes-you are beautiful and sexy . )

In September I finally shot her’s and Johnnies wedding. It seemed fitting to have a follow up, so I invited Lisa back for a portrait/boudoir-ish session. Here is a sneak peak

The Belvedere A Winter wedding{Rabecca and Sean }

Rabecca and Sean’s Belvedere mansion wedding, on a crisp January evening, Rhinebeck New York

Winter is always a risky time for a wedding here in the Hudson River Valley. Sean, a sweet serious man, and Rabecca, more artful with her burgandy dreadlocks, wrapped so amazingly on top of her head, and lacy Vintage gown. Sean so soft spoken, Rabecca with the charming laugh.

Two families made their way from different parts of the world to help these two come together. The sunset matched the joy felt by everyone.

Tina Kiehl of BellaFiore in Red Hook Ny did such glorious flowers. Ruby red velvety roses for Rabecca, totally matching her esthetic.

Chelsea and Jeremy at Montgomery Place, Red Hook, NY …an engagement shoot

Adorable bubbly Chelsea and handsome Jeremy are getting married in the Autumn, at a Barn in Vermont. We wanted to do a pre hsoot, or as it may be called, an engagement shoot. I know Chelsea’s parent’s , but never got to know Chelsea.

Right away i knew it was going to be a blast. Chelsea is so full of life and love for Jeremy.And I absolutely adore Jeremy. Such a sweet heart. I can not wait for th wedding.

We drove over to a local spot, Montgomery Place, Red Hook, NY and they immediately got into the spirit
